I Don't Take Orders

I don’t take orders. I barely take suggestions...this is both very true in some areas of my life and totally not in others. If you know me, or met me, it’s unlikely you feel I’m the type to take orders You could be surprised to know though, that I’m completely open to advice, suggestions and other opinions. Being strong or weak in one area doesn’t mean you’re all one thing or the other. I’m am confident & independent in what I want, my ambitions for work, travel etc. BUT I’m very aware I do not have all the answers, I understand there are people that know far more than I in a lot of subjects and fields. I’m very interested in surrounding myself with people I can learn from, grow from and give me new perspective. 

So this tee is totally true in terms of what I want or my goals (I don’t take orders, I’m secure) but not true in that I do take suggestions and advice. 

What do you think about being different in two areas of work, life, personality? Do any of you have areas you approach and deal with differently? The ability to be more than one thing, think more than one way, is likely what makes us remain open, grow, adapt, and key to avoid ignorance.
